A favorite quote ….

What have we learned in 2,064 years?

“The budget should be balanced. The Treasury should be refilled,

Public debt should be reduced; the arrogance of officialdom should be

tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should

be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt…”

– Cicero – 55 BC

Evidently, we’ve learned nothing.

An interesting wake-up call sent by a Russian author. As always, let me know your thoughts. Doctor Robert Villare, M.D. Assembly Candidate

American capitalism gone with a whimper

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons caution the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their “right” to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our “democracy”. Pride blind the foolish.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more than a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama’s command that GM’s (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of “pure” free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a “bold” move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK’s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our “wise” Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper…but a “freeman” whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democrat controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set “fair” maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery without a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

Eminent Domain — Is This Legalized Stealing?

The actions and arrogance of Mr. Burzichelli should be condemned for trying to steal your constitutional right to own property. Despite the unanimous Supreme Court Ruling, Burzichelli says of the Gallenthin family farm “We’ll get the land, one way or the other.” Who will repay the Gallenthin family for their pain, suffering and legal costs to stop this theft? Who will pay the hundreds of thousands of dollars wasted on this fiasco? YOU.

Today it’s the Gallenthins; tomorrow it’s you.

BEWARE, Mr. Sweeney recently told the Gloucester County Times, “If you have large tracts of land available, we’re going to pursue them.”

Thousands of Revolutionary War soldiers gave their lives to free us from the tyrants of England. Through their sacrifice, they gave us the freedoms we enjoy today. Now someone is trying to steal those freedoms! The tyrants have returned.

This issue is not going away. Stop the Burzichelli’s of the world by voting them out of office when they abuse eminent domain and hurt private citizens.

“We’ll get the land one way or the other.” Assemblyman John Burzichelli, Courier-Post (July 24, 2009)

Marines SacrificeFor Release September 21, 2009 Doctor Bob Villare for Assembly Contact: 856-423-4515

“We’ll get the land one way or the other.”
Assemblyman John Burzichelli, Courier-Post (July 24, 2009)

New Jersey is one of just a handful of states that have done nothing to curb government abuse of eminent domain. Even worse is that government bureaucrats are allowed to confiscate the property of those serving our country in the military – even while they are overseas defending our freedom. Soldiers give us our freedom, we must protect their land.

Can you imagine coming home from Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere else in the world where you have been serving our country, to find that your property has been stolen through eminent domain abuse? No American can stand for this and New Jersey cannot stand for it.

State and local officials began proceedings to take 3.7 acres of George & Cyndy Gallenthin’s farm while George, a Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserve, was serving his country overseas. Gallenthin took the Gloucester County Improvement Authority to court two years ago and won in a landmark unanimous decision by the New Jersey Supreme Court.

But that hasn’t stopped Burzichelli from trying to take his property. Assemblyman John Burzichelli arrogantly brushed aside the ruling by the Supreme Court, and assured reporters, “We’ll get the land one way or the other.”

A-3559 stops government from taking the property of those serving our country. It is bi-partisan legislation sponsored by Assemblywoman Alison McHose (whose husband has twice served overseas as a member of the New Jersey National Guard), Assemblymen Jack Conners and Gary Chiusano. The land leased to Paulsboro by B.P. using Paulsboro taxpayer money is listed as one of the most toxic superfund sites in the state.

The law simply freezes eminent domain proceedings against the home or property of someone serving overseas until he or she has been released from duty and is available to put up a defense against government taking. Someone dodging bullets in the hills of Afghanistan shouldn’t have the added worry of government putting his wife and kids out on the street.

A-3559 was supposed to be heard in committee back in February – then on March 12th.

Its hearing was delayed at the request of Burzichelli ally Assembly Speaker Joe Roberts of the Camden County Democrat machine. Burzichelli stops at nothing for political gains, including abusive legal assaults against a soldier/farmer. This behavior is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated.

“We have ground forces engaged in Iraq and President Obama has a troop surge going in Afghanistan. American troops will be in combat zones overseas for a long time to come and they simply shouldn’t be treated this way,” Assembly candidate Bob Villare said.

“John Burzichelli should recognize that his words make him and the political class in New Jersey sound like bullies. He should apologize to the Gallenthin family. He should assure Speaker Roberts gives A-3559 a hearing in committee for the sake of every New Jerseyean who puts themselves in harm’s way to defend our freedoms.”

Rational Health Care Reform

Protect your rights to free choice in healthcare and preserve your access to the best healthcare in the nation. Doctor Villare brings needed expertise to Trenton for advancement of healthcare to all New Jerseyeans.

Rational Health Care Reform

The current policies proposed in Washington would result in a government takeover of the health care system. These policies would remove all decision-making concerning personal healthcare matters.

There is agreement on many of the problems that plague our current system. They are a lack of accessibility, portability and affordability. The elements to a viable solution would address these issues, yet maintain quality and individual empowerment. They include:

Create tax equity by equalizing the tax treatment between employer paid health insurance and individual health care plans. Currently, employer provided insurance is paid with pretax dollars and individual health insurance is not. Replacing the current tax exclusion with a system of universal credits would make personal, portable plans market-driven and lower their costs. The government could then direct health insurance savings to help poor individuals and families, as well as those with preexisting conditions, purchase private health insurance.

One type of insurance that has proven to reduce costs is to combine health savings accounts with a high deductible health insurance plan. Typically, money not spent in one year (in the health savings account) rolls over to the next year and can grow over time. This creates an incentive to spend these dollars much more carefully. The premium cost for the insurance component is significantly less expensive.

Deregulate interstate insurance so insurance companies can compete across state lines. Health insurance should be able to be purchased from any insurance company in any state. Market based reforms would result, because costly government mandates are eliminated. Consumers could tailor their health insurance to their needs.
Establishing medical malpractice reform would reduce health care costs. Defensive medicine (when doctors perform every conceivable test to protect themselves from malpractice suits) cost between $100 billion to $200 billion each year. These costs are passed on to patients through much higher prices for health care. Higher prices for health care causes higher prices for health insurance.

Enact medical record-keeping through use of health information technology. Today, a card no bigger than a credit card can hold your entire medical history. This allows doctors and hospitals to instantly access needed medical information.
Adopt a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately, many health related issues are self-induced. Cardiac disease, diabetes and obesity are often preventable if proper diet, moderate exercise, not smoking and other positive lifestyle choices are adopted.

Ensuring patients take their medications. There are many wonderful drugs that help fight chronic disease and cancer. These drugs increase our longevity and allow us to live a better quality of life. Often times, patients don’t take medications as prescribed by their doctors contributing to $290 billion a year in avoidable medical spending (including excess hospitalizations). The reasons for noncompliance vary from side effects, the challenge of managing multiple prescriptions, forgetfulness, reduced sense of need if patients don’t feel any symptoms and cost. Poor medication compliance is a major roadblock to healthcare efficiency. Solutions to this problem include delivering better care to seniors by offering assistance in the elderly patient’s home thus keeping them out of costly nursing facilities, patient education, simplify drug regimens, reducing the cost of drugs for chronic diseases and closer monitoring of patients to improve compliance.

Healthcare reform is essential. Whatever reforms are undertaken, it is mandatory that they be fiscally responsible. The result should not be a centralized, heavy-handed, massive, one-size-fits-all government system. Bureaucrats would ultimately control all healthcare decisions resulting in rationing and much higher taxes. Individuals and families should be able to choose their doctors and be the key decision-makers in their own healthcare.
